  • ConeScan’s customer support hours are Mondays to Fridays from 7AM EST to 6PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM to Noon EST.
  • ConeScan’s scanning facilities operation hours vary from location to location. Please call us to find out.
  • Mobile Units generally scan from 10AM to 4:30PM in their locations. Some mobile scanners operate on Saturdays. Please call our office for more information.
  • The radiation dosage will vary from each type of CBCT scan however it is important to understand that cone beam technology is designed to take CT scans at far less radiation than a traditional CT tunnel scanners. (upto 10 x less)
  • The average amount of radiation exposure would be 75 milli Sievert.
  • It equivalent to about 3-4 panoramic xrays.
CBCT scans are not invasive. You are positioned in a seating or standing position and the scan goes around your head for 10 to 20 seconds. It is not a tunnel machine if you are worried about claustrophobia.
You should not be scanned if you are pregnant.
Payment
  • The cost of the scan is $289.00 for one or both jaws for vans and most of our locations. Please be aware our Glenview office has one fee of $374 and Lake Forest $354. These two locations include a compulsory radiology as they have radiologists on staff and are required to write a report.
  • The cost of a radiology report is $65.00.
  • We accept all major credit cards. (AMEX only in mobile units and selected locations)
  • Cash and checks are accepted. (In all mobile units and selected locations)
  • ConeScan is a fee for service provider. You need to pay for your scan upfront and can then submit to your insurance company. Our customer support team will assist you with submitting your claim.
  • Our facilities do not assist with submitting a claim, please call our support line for assistance.
Insurance
Fill in the personal details required and request that your referring dentist fill in the Physician/Dentist information. You will also need a diagnosis code from your referring Dentist (ICD-10 code).
ConeScan is a fee for service imaging facility and has not contracted with any insurance company. The company does not have a billing department allowing us to save on costs and keep our scan pricing low.
ConeScan performs the scan under the supervision of the referring dentist (mobile imaging) and does not provide a diagnosis. The diagnosis is performed by your dentist or in certain cases by a radiologist selected by your dentist. As such your dentist should sign your claim form.
ConeScan is a fee for service imaging facility. We are not in network with any insurance company and do not have a billing department. This allows us to save costs and keep our scanning prices low. We will gladly assist you with pre-filled insurance forms and help in any way we can with the insurance process.
The diagnosis code or ICD10 code is a code specific to a patient diagnoses and reasoning needed for the CT scan. ConeScan does not provide a diagnosis for your scan. This should be given to you by your dentist. However, here is a link to the ICD10 codes:
